Mobile App Development
Mobile App Development in Hong Kong
iOS and Android apps for businesses that need more than a website
We design and build mobile apps for Hong Kong businesses: booking platforms, member apps, and tools your customers use daily. One codebase, both app stores, and a build your team can maintain.
Projects typically run 3–6 months and start from HK$80,000

Tailored App Solutions
Apps That Fit the Job
Every project starts with the same question: does this need to be an app? Plenty of ideas work better as a mobile website, and we will tell you when that is the case rather than selling you a build you do not need.
Not sure which you need? That's what the strategy call is for.
One codebase built with React Native, published to both the App Store and Google Play. Roughly two-thirds the cost of building twice, with the same experience on each platform.
Installable, works offline, no app store review and no annual developer fees. The right answer when you need app-like behaviour without the overhead of native distribution.
Where the app and the site share accounts, content or payments, building them together saves duplicating the backend. See web development.
How it works
Our App Development Process
Every project follows the same five stages, so you always know what is happening now and what comes next. You approve the design before we build, and you own the code and the store listings at the end.

Discovery and Scoping
We work through what the app needs to do, who uses it, and which features belong in version one. You get a written specification and a fixed quote before development starts. Most apps launch better with fewer features than the first brief suggests.
Design and Prototype
We design the screens in Figma and build a clickable prototype you can test on a phone before anything is coded. UI/UX design is included, or we can work from designs your team already has.
Build and Integrate
Development runs in stages with builds you can install and test on your own device, rather than waiting until the end. Backend, APIs and third-party integrations are built alongside and tested against real systems.
Test and Submit
We test across a range of iOS and Android devices, then prepare and submit to both stores. We handle listing copy, screenshots, privacy declarations and the review process, including resubmissions if a reviewer pushes back.
Launch and Maintain
After approval we monitor crash reports and store reviews for the first month. Apps need ongoing updates as iOS and Android change, so we set out clearly what that involves before you commit.

Every project on this page started as someone's business problem, not a design brief. Have a look at how we approached each one, then tell us about yours.
Transparent Scoping

App Development
App projects vary more than websites, so we scope each one individually. These are honest starting points for what each type of build typically costs.

Tailored to the Market
Apps, Built for Hong Kong
We have spent years building for this market, and the things that trip up overseas agencies are the things we handle by default. Here is what that means in practice.

Your Questions, Answered
The questions we get asked most often on a first call, answered properly. If yours is not here, ask us directly and we will give you a straight answer rather than a quote request.
Do I actually need an app, or would a website do?
Often a mobile website is the better answer, and we will say so. Apps make sense when users return frequently, need offline access, require push notifications, or use device features like the camera or location. If your users visit occasionally to look something up or make an enquiry, a well-built mobile-friendly website will cost far less and reach more people.
How much does app development cost in Hong Kong?
A progressive web app starts around HK$80,000, a cross-platform app around HK$180,000, and a full product build from HK$350,000] What moves the price is screen count, whether you need a custom backend, payment handling, and how many systems the app connects to. Every project starts with scoping that produces a written specification and a fixed quote.
What ongoing costs should I expect?
Apple charges USD$99 per year for a developer account and Google charges a USD$25 one-off fee, both paid directly by you. Beyond that, apps need updating when iOS and Android release major versions, typically once a year each, or they eventually stop working. Server and backend hosting is an ongoing cost too. We set all of this out before you commit rather than after.
How long does it take to build an app?
A progressive web app takes around two months. Cross-platform apps usually run three to five months, and larger products longer. Add one to two weeks for app store review, which is outside anyone's control. The variable is rarely development time: it is how quickly decisions and content come back from your side.
Do you build for both iOS and Android?
Yes, usually from a single React Native codebase. That means one build serving both platforms at roughly two-thirds the cost of building twice, with the same experience on each. Where a project genuinely needs native performance or deep platform-specific features, we will tell you and quote accordingly.
Who owns the app store accounts?
You do. We register the Apple and Google developer accounts in your business name and you hold the credentials. This matters more than it sounds: agencies that publish under their own account effectively hold your app, its reviews and its download history hostage. We do not work that way.
Can you work with designs we already have?
Yes. If you have Figma files from another designer or an in-house team, we can build from them. We will review them first and flag anything that will not work on a real device, since designs that look correct on a desktop screen sometimes do not survive contact with a phone. If you need design too, our UI/UX service covers it.
What happens if Apple rejects the app?
It happens, and usually for something specific and fixable: a privacy declaration, a login requirement, or an unclear feature description. We prepare submissions to avoid the common causes, and if a build is rejected we handle the resubmission as part of the project rather than billing extra for it.
Can the app connect to our existing systems?
Usually, yes. We have connected apps to booking systems, payment providers, CRMs and bespoke internal software. What matters is whether the system has an API. If it does not, there are often workarounds, but we will tell you honestly during scoping what is straightforward and what will be expensive.
Who owns the code?
You do, from day one. The repository, the documentation and the store listings are all yours. We do not build on proprietary frameworks that lock you to us. If you move to another developer, everything transfers cleanly and your app stays live throughout.
